November is American Diabetes Month

Did you know?

According to the American Diabetes Association:

• Nearly 21 million children and adults in the United States have diabetes
• 7.0% of the population in the United States is affected by diabetes
• Diabetes is the 5th leading disease in the United States

Diabetes can affect many parts of the body and can lead to serious complications such as blindness, and kidney damage. Working with your health care provider, you can reduce the occurrence of these and other diabetes complications. We encourage you to learn more about the diabetes and the risks associated with the disease.

Are you at risk for diabetes?

Take the Diabetes Risk Test located on the American Diabetes Association website. http://www.diabetes.org/risk-test.jsp
